WordBuddy 소개Wordbuddy was created by a travel junkie who liked to trek to countries far from his own. Traveling to distant places he found was much more interesting if he could pick up a few words of the local language... even better if he could be conversant. He studied a few languages like Spanish and Chinese. With a bit of effort, he was able to learn enough to get around. Learning from textbooks was interesting enough. However what gave him the drive to continue to learn was discovering the nuances of spoken language. These were the idioms and expressions that were learned outside of the classroom. Being able to speak and understand double entendres after a couple beers was much more rewarding than doing well on a test.
Unfortunately this guy was a little more left brained than right. Picking up languages didn't come all that naturally to him. He needed to develop methods to memorize almost every single word that he tried to stick into his head. There were many notebooks and flashcards that littered his bookshelf. Fortunately this guy was a little more left brained than right. He knew a thing or two about how to use a computer. Eventually most of these notes were stuck into a spreadsheet which made them much easier to study. Other people then expressed interest in learning how he learned words. He thought that it would be easiest to help people if he published his memory techniques on the web. If there was a forum for them to share their ideas, then those people could help him too. And WordBuddy was born. A compendium of peoples' vocabulary and experiences from the world over. So enjoy using and learning. Put into WordBuddy any words and slang you would like. Think up new ways to learn words. You'll be helping yourself and many other people across the globe. |
